Ronald "Lebanon" Boggs

Ronald Boggs was born September 16, 1936 to Doyle and Lillie Arthurs Boggs. He passed away in his Lebanon, Missouri home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy built on hard work, unbelievable strength, and steadfast love. Ronald was the proud founder of Boggs Family Automotive. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and Navy veteran. Those who knew Ronald will remember his steady hands and unwavering work ethic. He was a man who believed in doing things right, standing by his word, and always showing up for the people he loved. Ronald grew up with a deep sense of duty and a gift for fixing what was broken-whether it was an engine that refused to turn over, a tool worn down by time, or a rusted bolt that wouldn't budge. These traits shaped every chapter of his life. He served his country with honor in the United States Navy, and after his military service, worked in the oil fields before channeling his mechanical talents into building his own business. Boggs Family Automotive became more than a shop, it was a cornerstone of the community, a place where neighbors found not just reliable service, but a man they could trust. Ronald is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean Boggs; his mother, Lillie Boggs; his father, Doyle Boggs; and his brother, Darrell Boggs. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life. He is survived by his loving children, daughter Lisa and her husband Lonnie Kinkade; his sons Doug Boggs and his partner Tab Foster and son Clayton Boggs and his wife Lisa Boggs. He is also survived by his younger brother Gary Boggs, who once made the bold decision to employ Ronald later in life during his retirement from the shop, only to discover that Ron's true talent was "creative disassembly." Their brotherly banter and shared laughter turned even broken parts into cherished family heirlooms. Ronald was a proud grandfather to Kaytlen, Megan, Luke, Aaron, Ashlee, and Austin, and a joyful great-grandfather to Dylan, Caleb, Ally, Rowan, Jace, and Memphis. He had a deep love for his many loyal dogs, which were his constant companions and brought him comfort and joy. He was also an avid deer hunter who looked forward to the annual Boggs boys hunting trips, though these were known more for the stories than the kills. Ronald's legacy lives on in the engines he brought back to life, the family he cherished, the lives he touched, and the community he helped get back on the road. Though he has left this world, his spirit remains in every story shared, every lesson passed down, and every act of service inspired by his example. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. A memorial to Claws and Paws has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
