Ronald Brant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Guinn-Horger Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2022.
Ronald Herbert "Ron" Brant of Hondo passed away Friday, March 11, 2022.
Born June 21, 1931, in Cumberland MD, he was the son of Wilbert E. and Mary
Norris Brant.
Ron was a faithful Christian and a member of the church of Christ. He loved
God and passed on his steadfast devotion to his children and grandchildren.
He joined the U.S. Navy in 1951 and retired as a Chief Radioman after
serving 20 years. He and his family lived in many places, including Bermuda,
Dominican Republic and the Panama Canal Zone to name a few. His patriotic
spirit never wavered.
After retiring, he fulfilled his dream of owning and operating a grocery
store in Kelly Lake, WI. He was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan, a
puzzle-master, an avid stamp and post-card collector, and he loved dogs, who
were always attracted to him like a magnet. He was a loving husband, father
and grandfather.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife of 56 years, Shirley Jean
Sheetz Brant; son, David Alan Brant; and his siblings, Buck, Gene and
Annabelle.
Survivors are his son, Daniel Brant (Barbara) of Kingsland; daughter, Rhonda
Neeley (Craig) of Hondo; daughter-in-law Cheryl Brant of Michigan;
grandchildren, Stacy Modisett, Rhonda Hatchett, Tara Neeley, Craig Daniel
Neeley, Lara Condren, Kevin Neeley, Misty Fenner, Sara Terryah, Nathan Brant
and David Brant; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San
Angelo.
