Send FlowersRonald H. Brown went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Ron was born March 30th,1933 in Hardin County, Ohio to Harley and Mae (Liller) Brown.
Ron graduated from Kenton High School where he was a member of the 1948 Western Buckeye League Championship football team and played trumpet in the band. In 1950 he married the love of his life, Eleanor Louise Graham, and they enjoyed over 72 years together before her passing in August 2023. Ron and Eleanor had 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandsons on the way.
Ron worked as a machinist for Clark Equipment for over 20 years, and in 1976 went to work for Chrysler / General Dynamics at the Lima Tank plant before his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed delivering flowers for Don Johnson Florist in Lima.
For over 50 years, Ron was very active at Cable Road Alliance Church serving as Sunday school teacher, elder and trustee.
Ron is survived by his children, Vickie Beshalske (Brad) of Oregon OH, Steve (Vicky) of Bluffton, OH, Deedie Rack of Little River, SC, and daughter-in-law Jill Brown of Lafayette, OH. Ron was preceded in death by infant son Michael Brown and son James Brown.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5th from 11:30 - 1:00 with the funeral to follow at 1:00 pm at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, 1170 Shawnee Rd. Lima, Ohio 45805.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Rescue Mission or Otterbein Cridersville.
