Ronald Jay Brown, 77, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial service to celebrate Ronald’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at FairHaven Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.
Ronald was born on January 19, 1948, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to the late Mr. Jay Edward Brown and Mrs. Rose Marie Damron Brown. Throughout his life, Ronald was known for his calm and patient nature, his unwavering love for family, and his sharp, dry sense of humor that could bring a smile to anyone’s face. His sarcasm was gentle, his wit quick, and his laughter contagious.
A true family man, Ronald was a role model, a hero, and a steady presence to those who knew him. He loved golfing and fishing, traveling to new places, and enjoying good food, earning him the affectionate title of a true “foodie.” Above all else, Ronald cherished time spent with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren, who knew him best as their beloved “Paw Paw.”
Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of eight years, Beth Brown; daughters, Casey Logan, Nikki (Doug) Jacobs, and Natalie (Jimmy) Gardiner; stepsons, Matt (Kacey) Gresham and Rob (Hope) Gresham; brothers, Gary (Prudence) Brown and Greg Brown; sister, Lisa Brown; and grandchildren, Zohn, Jackson, Cassidy, Zane, Mackenzie, Braison, Carstin, Jackson G., Parker, and Alaina.
Ronald’s legacy is one of love, laughter, patience, and devotion to family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
