Ronald C. Brownell

Ronald Brownell, 71, of Millbury, passed away peacefully in his home on July27, 2024. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1970 and was a dedicated musician, known for his talent as a drummer the Buggs Moran Band. Ronald was born to the late Ronald and Marjorie Brownell and was the eldest of eleven siblings.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart of 53 years, Susan Brownell; his daughter Jessica and her husband Neil; his son James; grandchildren Julia, Lauren, Jameson, Jenna, Jemma, and great-grandson Tuka. Ronald leaves behind eight siblings and a large extended family with whom he shared many cherished memories.

Ronald valued the longstanding friendships he cultivated throughout his life, and we trust that they will fondly remember him in their own way. Preceded in death by his parents, Ronald is also mourned by the loss of his siblings Cheryl and Kevin Brownell.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during calling hours on August 2, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel located at 370 Plantation St., Worcester. A service will follow at 11:00 AM with burial to take place at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
