On June 10, 2025 Ron received his angel wings. He passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his life, Patty and their 3 children Michelle, Brett and Morgan. While our hearts ache with his absence we find solace in knowing he was met at heaven’s gate by his grandchildren ~ showing him all the best hunting and fishing spots.
Ronald Edward Bruce was born September 15, 1957 in Broken Bow, NE to Joseph Dosey “JD” and Lucille Fern Bruce. Ron was the youngest brother to Bill, Robert, Eugene, Norman and Marie. In January of 1969, Ron moved with his family to Upton, WY. He was a natural athlete and played football, basketball, wrestling and track and field events throughout his school years. Ron loved his family deeply and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He was a gracious host to countless family events and a father figure to many. Their home was a place of warmth, laughter and endless love. Ron was a hard worker with a strong work ethic that began at an early age that lasted his entire life. He was a jack of all trades. Hunting, fishing, coaching, pit boss, mechanic and grill master were a few of his life’s joys. His deep faith and family carried him through his illness with the belief that if his healing wasn’t here on earth, it would be received in heaven. Ron was a husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, friend, coach and mentor who was loved by all and will be missed beyond measure.
