Obituary
Michael Keith Reeves, 71, of Burleson, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2026. He was born in Austin, Texas, in 1954 to Keith and Delores Reeves. As a premature baby, he was so small that he spent his earliest days sleeping in a dresser drawer.
Michael attended Moorcroft High School in Moorcroft, Wyoming, before studying Aircraft Technology at Hallmark Institute of Technology in San Antonio, Texas. He went on to build a long and dedicated year career at Bell Helicopter as a helicopter technician, where he helped build the Osprey.
Michael was first married to Kelly Hodson (Jones), and together they had three children: Hidie, Timothy, and Jason. In 1980, he married Carol Berry, and together they shared 45 years of marriage, adding two sons, Gregory and Robert, to his life and building a close, loving family.
Michael lived a life full of curiosity, creativity, and hands on joy. He loved fishing, bowling, flying remote control planes, working on old cars, cooking on his grill, swimming in his pool, wrought iron work, woodworking, and playing golf. Music was also a lifelong passion-he enjoyed singing in church, performing in musicals, and playing his piano and flute.
He was preceded in death by his sons Gregory Thomas, Robert Edwin, and Timothy Michael Reeves; his parents Keith and Delores Reeves; his grandchild Emma Mae McCune; his brother Cory Evan Reeves; his sister Debrah Lynn Pressley; and numerous in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.
Michael is survived by his wife, Carol Reeves; daughter Hidie McCune (Nate); son Jason Reeves; brother Bruce Reeves (Laura); sister Julie Peterson (Dale); grandchildren Madison and Gabe Bland, Dylan Reeves, Melody Reeves, Brian Reeves, and Clara Reeves; three great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
