Ron is survived by three siblings; Sister Janet Burkhart, H.M., Don (Sherrie) Burkhart and Terry (Karen) Burkhart. He is also survived by his niece and nephew, Michael (Susannah) Burkhart and Tracy Burkhart. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Burkhart.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Friday, September 27, 2024 at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 125 South Carrollton St, Malvern, OH 44644 with Fr. Victor Cinson as Celebrant. A private family burial in Waynesburg Cemetery, with military honors, will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stierisraelfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James grade school, 400 West Lisbon St, Waynesburg, OH 44688.

I was an altar boy with Ron at St. James. He was older than me and showed me how to serve the mass. He was always helpful to me. And later on he helped me figure out my paper route..He was a great fellow.

Ron was one of my best friends growing up together along with the rest of his family. We had so many good times as kids. He was liked by everyone. His entire family was a blessing to the neighborhood, including his dad and mom. Just as his family does,I strongly believe we will see Ron in the resurrection. Rest in peace my dear friend.
