Ronald Calvani Obituary
1938 - 2025
Salem - Ronald R. Calvani, 86 of Salem, formerly of Lynn, died Tuesday February 18, 2025. He was born and raised in Lynn to the late Amelio "Ralph" and Eugenia "Jean" Calvani.
Ron served in the US Air Force and then worked in antique restoration. He owned and operated Union Lamp Shoppe on Upper Union St. in Lynn's historic business district for many years. He was a brilliant man who possessed knowledge in a wide array of topics.
A true craftsman to behold his work; many historical institutions sought him out to restore the integrity of the original lighting and other fixtures. Ron also helped many young men struggling with alcoholism onto the road of recovery in the 1980s with Alcoholics Anonymous.
Ron is survived by his son Matthew Calvani and his wife Margaret of CA, and their children Jacob and Coco Calvani, his daughter Lauren Clyde of CA and her children Christian, Angela and Maximilian Clyde, his brother Paul Calvani and his wife Pam of Peabody. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Bruce Clyde and his wife Audrey (Barrett).
Service Information: Funeral services for Ron will be held on Friday March 7, 2025 at St. Adelaide Church, 712 Lowell St. Peabody, MA at 10:30AM. Please meet directly at the church. Burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 6th from 4-7PM at SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt129) Lynn.
