Ronald Chavis Obituary
In addition to his parents, Ronald was also preceded in death by one sister: Mabel Chavis, three brothers: James Chavis, Harold Chavis and Randy Chavis.
Ronald enjoyed Farming throughout his life. He would often remind others that he was the best fertilizer sprayer around. Riding in the local Wagon Trains was another thing that he often enjoyed. If he was not riding Horses you could find him building a wagon. Ronald was also a welder and mechanic by trade. He will be remembered as a "Jokester" to many!
He is survived by his wife: Kathy Chavis of the home; two daughters: Angela Marie Chavis Locklear and her husband Sebastian of Rowland and Amanda Leigh Chavis Taylor and her husband Kevin also of Rowland; two brothers: Dennis Chavis (Carolyn) of Rowland and Charles Chavis of Myrtle Beach, SC; three sisters: Tammy Hunt (Wilbert) of Maxton, Carolyn Chavis of Charleston, SC and Fredia Locklear(Billy) of Maxton; three grandchildren that he loved dearly: Malissa Paigelynn Taylor, Maci Shaw Locklear and Myah Shay Locklear as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Ronald was a great guy someone that I would always go to for advice and a true friend he was always smiling and happy never complaining I enjoyed picking on him he was probably one of the smartest guys I been around his memories of us working together will always be a treasure to me
