It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Allen Connick, Jr., who left us peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on June 11, 1983, in Charleston, South Carolina, Ron's journey through life was marked by resilience, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and country.

Ron proudly served in the United States Army and completed two tours in Iraq, where his courage and commitment to service earned him a Purple Heart. After his military service, he transitioned to a fulfilling career as a field services engineer in the concrete industry, where he applied his skills and passion for construction to build a better future for his community.

Ron is survived by his father, Ronald Allen Connick Sr., his loving and devoted wife Shannon Condon Connick, with whom he shared a deep and unbreakable bond and his stepson Robert Alexander. Together, they created a loving home filled with joy and laughter, sharing their lives with their five beloved German Shepherds. He is also survived by his four cherished children: Kensley and Raelyn, children of Jessica, and Isabella and Cameron, children of Danielle. Ronald's ability to connect with his children, along with his compassionate heart, made him a cherished father and family member who will be missed dearly.

A celebration of Ron's remarkable life will be held in his honor, where family and friends will come together to remember the love he shared and the lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at James A. McAlister Funeral home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston SC 29407 at 6:00 pm.

Ron's passion for life, his unwavering dedication, and the love he exhibited for his family will always be remembered. To know Ron was to know a man of warmth, laughter, and strength - a true hero in every sense of the word. May his memory live on in all of us who were fortunate to have known him.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Tina Hatcher Connick.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Esophogeal Cancer Foundation or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
