Ronald Keith Cory

Ronald Keith Cory, born October 25, 1949, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 76. A devoted husband, Ron shared 55 years of marriage with his childhood sweetheart, Marguerite Cory-a lifelong partnership built on love, loyalty, and quiet strength.
Ron was a proud and loving father to his two children, Megan Klein (George) of Goshen, Kentucky, and Adam Cory (Cynthia) of Pilot Point, Texas. Nothing brought him more joy than watching them grow into the people they are today. He was also a cherished Poppy to Samuel Cory, Charlotte Wright, Bennett Cory, Keller Klein, and Gracyn Cory, each of whom brought immeasurable light to his life.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Cory and Esther Kadel Cory Beekman, and by his sister, Dawne Evans. He is survived by his siblings, Richard Cory (Mary) of Zeeland, Michigan, and Marya Fraley of Fairborn, Ohio, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Victoria Hegewald (Falk) of Erda, Utah.
Ron was a true gentleman and a renaissance man, gifted in art, blessed with a beautiful baritone voice, skilled on the guitar, and a natural wordsmith. He had a ready, playful sense of humor and was especially quick with a dad joke-always ready with a one-liner to brighten the day. His kindness, wit, and thoughtful spirit made him someone people gravitated toward and deeply cherished.
Ron was a devoted Christian, a man who loved God wholeheartedly. He served faithfully as an elder and a Sunday School teacher at the former River Valley Christian Church, giving his time, wisdom, and compassion to his church family. Ron most recently served the Lord through his membership at St. John Community Church. His faith guided his life, shaped his values, and gave him great joy.
He deeply loved his country, its history, and proudly traveled to 49 states. Ron never missed an election and believed strongly in civic responsibility. A lifelong Republican and a proud member of the NRA, he held fast to his principles and valued the freedoms that shaped the nation he loved.
Ron's strong work ethic began early. He started working in his family's grocery store at just 12 years old. He graduated from Shawnee High School in Springfield, Ohio and Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio before beginning his professional life as a high school art teacher. His career later led him to the printing industry, taking him to Michigan, Tennessee, and ultimately to Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked at Standard Gravure. Most recently, he ran his own business, Cory Copy Shop in Prospect, Kentucky, where he approached each project with care and craftsmanship.
Outside of work, Ron cherished time spent with his family-especially their trips to the beach. The sound of the waves, the laughter of his grandchildren, and the peaceful moments shared with Marguerite made those times among his most treasured memories.
Ron will be remembered for the warmth he brought to every room, the steadiness of his presence, his unwavering faith, and the deep love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home in La Grange, Kentucky, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Noon with burial at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 10am until the start of the service.
