Ronald DIEGNAU Obituary

Age 90, died peacefully on July 19, 2023 with his family at his side. Born July 26, 1932 in St. Paul, MN to George and Dorothy Diegnau. Preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Smith, who died three days before him. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gretchen Deiters Diegnau of Rosemount; son Paul Diegnau (Cindy) of Oakdale, MN and daughter Suzanne Wasiluk (Bob) of Fayetteville, AR; four grand children Christine Diegnau, Michael Diegnau, Jenna Wasiluk, Kelsie Hull (Travis); brother-in-law Larry Smith of St. Paul, MN. A U.S Army veteran, he served in the Korean War. Married on June 21, 1958 in St. Paul, MN he and Gretchen made their home in Rosemount, MN in 1960. Ron was a prototype engineer with Sperry/Univac for 37 years. In earlier years he enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and watercolor painting. Ron was an avid birdwatcher and a very talented wood carver, specializing in birds. Memorials preferred to Minnesota Hospice whose loving staff provided comfort and support. Memorial gathering 2-4 PM Monday, July 31st at Washburn-McReavy Bloomington Chapel, 2300 W. Old Shakopee Rd.
