Ronald Dobbs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chism Family Funeral Home - Vine Grove on Feb. 5, 2026.
Ronald Obie Dobbs, 76, of Radcliff, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Ron was born in Fountain Head, TN, to Obie and Maxine Dobbs. As a child, he grew up on a farm. Later he decided he wanted to serve his country and joined the United States Army.

He was a dedicated Military Police Officer serving most of his time in Germany. His duty there ranged from security detail for for VIP's and stars visiting overseas to working with the Criminal Investigation Division. His favorite part was working undercover with the German Polizei.

He loved to travel and did so every chance he had. Anything from going to beaches, cruises, or just strapping Hunter to the back of his Harley and riding off into the sunset.

Ron could also tell a story like no other. The details he would go into made you feel like you where there and knew the people he was talking about. Let's not forget about the German Audubon; how he loved to speed. He was always going as fast as he could there, until he was yelled at.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Mitchell Dobbs; his brother, Randall Dobbs of Jefferson, LA; sisters, Rita Roberts, Rose Jones, and Regina Walker all of Portland, TN; five children, Ronnie B. Dobbs (Brenna) of Radcliff, KY, Rocky Dobbs of Louisville, KY, Nicole "Red" McDaniel (Brad) of Covington, LA, Robyn Tiamat (Darren) of Westwego, LA, and Hunter Dobbs of Radcliff,KY; five grandchildren, Madison, Bralen, David Michael, Melody, and Skylar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Maxine Dobbs and a son, Eugene Dobbs.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, and from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Chism Family Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at St. Christopher Parish, Radcliff, KY with Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY with military honors.
