Ronald Wayne Douglas
July 25, 1943 – July 29, 2025
Ronald Wayne Douglas, 82, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at Friendship Village.
Born on July 25, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Ron was the son of Laura Griffith Douglas and Thomas Bennington Douglas. He grew up with a strong sense of family that stayed with him throughout his life.
Ron is survived by his loving partner, Lorraine Stahl; his former wife, Sarah Douglas; his children, Jim Douglas (Desiree) and Lindsay Koppinger (Joel); his brother, Dale Douglas (Sally); and his beloved grandchildren-Alaina, Gillian, Brennan, and Carter Douglas, and Levi and Lincoln Koppinger.
Ron was known for his upbeat spirit and the deep love he had for his family. He was a devoted father and a proud Pop Pop, always ready with a smile, a laugh, or a warm word of encouragement. His positivity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, at John McMillan Presbyterian Church, 875 Clifton Rd. Bethel Park, Pa. Friends and family are invited to gather for stories and fellowship beginning at 10:00 a.m. A private interment will follow for the family. In honor of Ron's memory, the family kindly requests that guests wear blue-his favorite color.
Ron's legacy of warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will live on in all who knew and cherished him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
