Ronald H. Dunse
Godfrey - Ronald H. Dunse, 76, died at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his home. Born October 29, 1947 in Alton, he was the son of Charles H. and Clara M. (Harper) Dunse. Mr. Dunse served 3 tours in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1308. Surviving is a son, Aaron Dunse (Jeri Atkins) of Brighton, and four grandchildren, Alyson, Zoi, and Haden Dunse, and Shy Garner. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton followed by military graveside services at 1:00 p.m. at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey on Friday, December 29, 2023. I was so sad when I heard about Ron. My heart hurts but so glad we got to spend time together a couple of times while I was home this year. Aaron I'll pray for you and your children. It's a long road ahead but may God give you all the strength to get though this.
