Ronald Haris Ehl

Ronald Ehl, 89, of Fern Creek, KY, died peacefully in his sleep on April 11, 2023.
Ron was a devout Christian whose faith comforted him throughout his life, and at the end.
Like many of his generation, Ron learned to repair just about anything. This served him well during his service in the Seabees, and in his manufacturing-engineering career at McDonald-Douglas, Boeing, General Electric, and The Liebert Corporation. On a handful of occasions, Ron was tasked with designing and overseeing the opening of a new facility, or using his expertise to improve facilities operations.
Ron was a dog lover, enjoying his small Dachshund Penny in early life, in addition to his beloved Malamute and several Norwegian Elkhounds later in life.
Ron is survived by Lonna, his wife of 46 years; stepdaughter Amy and her husband Paul; son Larry, his wife Michelle and granddaughters Kathlyn, Alison, and Laura; brother David and his wife Rose, and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents Harris and Irma, first wife Shirley, and his stepson Scott.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital and Hosparus Health for their caring service.
