Ronald Etzig Obituary
Ronald dedicated more than three decades of his life to his career as a truck driver. Outside of work, he found true peace as an avid fisherman and took immense joy in spending time and playing with his beloved grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Denise, one son, Ronald T. Etzig (Heather), one daughter, Samantha Cunningham (Zach), 8 grandchildren: Emma, Tristan, Erika, Skylar, Avery, Elijah, Azlynn, Sophia, three sisters, Laura Taylor, Cathleen Whitehouse (Rob), Mary Speed, and many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family.
A memorial service will take place at 6 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home. A Memorial Visitation will be from 3 PM until the service time of 6 PM at the funeral home on Saturday.
Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.

I had just met Ron through his truck driving gig within the last couple of months. We talked last week about his drive back home from Chicago over the Thanksgiving weekend and saw him just this last Thursday. I will certainly miss seeing him come around to pick up from our facility. My condolences to his family.
