Thomas "T.J." Pitcher

Mr. Thomas J. "T.J." Pitcher, age 78, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Lyndon Crossing Nursing Home in Louisville.

Mr. Pitcher, the son of the late Harold Pitcher and Barbara Charlton Pitcher Marcum, was born in Madison County on April 30, 1947. He worked for Uncle Charlie's Meats and later, following his retirement, was employed by O'Reilly Auto Parts. Earlier in life, he enjoyed golfing and attending the races at Keeneland. He was also a devoted fan of University of Kentucky football and basketball. For many years, his faithful dog, Jojo, was his constant and closest companion.

T.J. united in marriage to Lori Sallee Pitcher who preceded him in death on November 24, 2020.

Survivors include two sons: Jason (& Andrea) Pitcher of Corydon, Indiana and Phillip Pitcher of Richmond, his sister: Linda (& Ricky) Mize, his nieces and nephews: Misty (& Robbie) Randall, Chris (& Jonna) Mize, Pam Grant (& Ricky Middleton) and Blaine Wheeler, his mother-in-law: Monzell Sallee, sister-in-law: Vicki Grant and brother-in-law: Larry Wheeler.

Mr. Pitcher was also preceded in death by his father-in-law: Lloyd Sallee, a sister-in-law: Karen Wheeler and brother-in-law: Bennie Grant.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Private burial will take place in the Richmond Cemetery.
