Ronald Paul Evelhoch of Lewistown, PA passed away December 31, 2025.

Born July 24, 1939, in Carlisle, PA, he was a son of the late Paul and Edna Evelhoch.

Ron graduated from Carlisle High School in 1957 and earned a bachelor's degree from Penn State University. He was a standout football player in high school and excelled in baseball, representing Newville, PA in the 1951 Little League World Series, played at Penn State and continued competitive baseball into his thirties. He earned his CPA license in 1971. After working as an accountant in both corporate and public accounting firms, Ron opened his own CPA practice in Lewistown which he operated for nearly 40 years. Ron was a 45-year member of the Burnham Lions Club.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma (Vera) Evelhoch. Surviving are children Michele A. (Bill) Lewis of Lewistown, PA, Michael L. (Tammy) Evelhoch of Mechanicsburg, PA, Patricia J. McCauley of New Cumberland, PA, and Gregory S. (Melinda) Evelhoch of Easton, PA, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Richard (Candee) Evelhoch of Centre Hall, PA.

A private service will be held to honor Ron's life. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mifflin County Library (www.mifflincountylibrary.org).

Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle, is handling the arrangements.
