Ronald P. Galloni

Lunenburg - Ronald P. Galloni, 77, of Lunenburg, formerly of Townsend, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Ron was born in Lawrence on June 1, 1948, son of the late Raymond and Mary (Nicora) Galloni. Following his graduation from high school, he earned his associate's degree before enlisting into the United States Army, where he honorably served for 23 years. During his military career, he remained committed to advancing his education, ultimately earning both a bachelor's and a master's degree. Known for his sharp mind and steadfast dedication, Ron carried these qualities into his civilian career as a systems analyst with Compass Inc., where he contributed his expertise to government contracts for the Department of Defense. Ron found his greatest joy in being outside and keeping busy. He always enjoyed working on projects and could rarely be found sitting still. He was known for walking everywhere and had a gift for making friends wherever he went. His kind and genuine spirit touched countless lives. Above all, he cherished his family, and the love he shared with them will always be remembered. He was deeply loved, and his presence will be profoundly missed. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Barbara A. (Yost) Galloni of Lunenburg; a daughter, Ann Fay, and her husband, Bill of Winchester, NH; a brother, Raymond Galloni of Salem, NH; two grandchildren, John Galloni and his wife, Melanie of Lunenburg and Bryan Petersen of Winchester, NH, four great grandchildren, Aria, Oakliegh, Noah, and Quinton; as well as many nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11, at 11 AM in St. Boniface Church, 817 Massachusetts Ave., Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers or ALS Association The T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
