Ronald Wayne Garrison passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of May 17, 2025.
Ron was born to Sandra and Len Garrison in Burwell, Nebraska on June 18, 1957. He was the oldest of three siblings Linda, Steve, and Kendall. Ron grew up in Kearney, Nebraska and attended Kearney High School. On August 5, 1978 he married Michele Cusick and resided in Kearney, Nebraska. Ron worked in Construction with his Dad, Brother, and his Brother in Law. He worked at West Company in Kearney. In 1983, Ron and Michele welcomed their daughter, Shannon into this world and in 1986, they welcomed their son, Todd. In 1986, they moved to Minden, Nebraska where Ron remodeled their home, the Newell house. The family lived in the home until 1994 where they moved to a new home in Minden that Ron designed and built.
After West Company, Ron was Self Contracted continuing his work in Construction. The Garrison family moved to Upland, Nebraska in 1997 where Ron worked at the Upland Coop for a few years. His skilled carpentry led him to remodel each of the homes that he lived in, including a home later in Lincoln, Nebraska and another home in Panora, Iowa. Ron was a fan of music and such a talented musician. He was in many bands over his life starting as early as Jr. High. Ron loved playing music and many weekends were spent pursuing his passion for music. Through traveling and playing in bands he met several wonderful friends who became like family over the years. Eleven years ago Ron and Michele moved to Akron, Colorado. In his time in Akron, Ron was a true servant of the Lord. He volunteered for Mobile Meals, Food Bank of the Rockies, helped neighbors and community members, and loved helping animals. Ron worked as a caregiver at Washington County Nursing Home. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his wife, Michele Garrison; daughter, Shannon Garrison; son, Todd Garrison; father, Len Garrison; sister, Linda Cope; brother, Steve Garrison; and brother, Kendall Garrison.
Reunited in Heaven with Ruth Garrison and Grandparents, Dorothy and LJ Garrison.
