Ronald Lee Glovier

Mr. Ronald Lee Glovier, 82 of Galax, VA was born on May 10, 1942 in St. Paul, VA., to the late William Hopkins Glovier Sr. and Mary Ellen Stevens Glovier and was called home to be with his savior on December 1, 2024 at his home in Galax, VA.
Ron was an avid fisherman, hunter and he loved watching sports. He joined the Army on November 16, 1961 and he served until his honorable discharge August 31, 1964. He worked for and retired from General Motors after 33 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife Becky. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, caring sibling, doting grandfather and dedicated friend to all who knew him best.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Rebecca Ann, his four siblings: Donald Lee Glovier (twin), Bud Glovier, Hugh Glovier and Shirley Blankenship.
Left to cherish his memory and tell his stories will be his beloved wife of 55 years; Rebecca "Becky" Glovier, his three sons; Ronald Wayne Glovier and wife Lisa, Robert "Bobby" Glovier and wife Brandy, and Roy Tabor and wife Samantha, his brother; William Glovier Jr. and many grandkids, great grand kids, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2024 beginning at 5:00PM at High Country Services. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until service time at the funeral home.
