Jamie Darlene Glovier, an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly on July 16th, 2025.
Jamie was born in Abingdon, Virginia to Kathy (Hinchey) Russell and James Russell. She married Harold Glovier in 1993 and they welcomed their precious daughter, Morgan, into the world in 1998.
Jamie was a shining light in the lives of all who had the joy of knowing her. Her journey on earth was marked by love, compassion, kindness and an unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her forever. We ask that you remember her not for her life ending so short, but for the way it was lived, and the profound impact it had on the lives of those she touched.
Jamie was an amazing artist, she loved to paint, draw, and create. She found inspiration in her family, nature, and fantasy. Jamie was an avid reader and loved mysteries. She had the biggest and most amazing heart for children; she volunteered in libraries and within the church.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Russell. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold, and their daughter, Morgan Herndon and husband, Jacob. She is also survived by her mother, Kathy Russell; her sister, Jonnie Leonard and husband, Larry; as well as Jo and Kurstin Leonard. Jamie was survived by numerous other family and friends and she will be dearly missed.
