Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home - GreenfieldRonald G. Gunderman, Lt. Colonel, United States Air Force (Ret), 85, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025, at the Carriage Court of Washington Court House. He was born on Thursday, November 23, 1939, in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Raymond V. and Eloise Kuhner Gunderman. Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Gunderman. Surviving him is his wife of 23 years, Ann Marie Hays Hadley Gunderman.
Also surviving him are his two sons; James Raymond Gunderman and John Scott Gunderman, both of Enon, Ohio, two step sons; Jeff (Connie) Hadley of Buford and Russ Staten of Greenfield, four grandchildren; Nathan and Justin Todd, Jared and Jacob Bard, four step grandchildren; Elicia Taylor, Terry Staten, Nick and Connor Hadley, three step great-grandchildren; Ryland, Kayla and Maggie Taylor, one sister; Linda Pavich of Cleveland, his daughter Christi's longtime companion, Howard Bard. Ron was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Allen Gunderman, one daughter; Christy Lynn Todd, his three brothers; John, Glenn and Richard Gunderman, one stepdaughter; Theresa Marie Hadley Staten and one step-granddaughter; Elizabeth Staten.
Ron was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired as a Lt. Colonel from the United States Air Force. He received his master's degree in mathematics from the Ohio State University. He later retired as Vice President of the Ball Aerospace and Technologies in Fairborn, Ohio. Ron was a member of the St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 1 p.m. with Father Scott Morgan as Celebrant. Friends may visit with Ron's family at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass. Ron will be laid to rest on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Enon Cemetery, 6013 Dayton Springfield Rd., Enon, OH. Full military honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force. The ANDERSON-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Greenfield is serving the family.
