Obituary of Ronald Eugene Hedlund
Ronald Eugene Hedlund was born in Minneapolis Nov. 13, 1938 and died on Aug. 14, 2024 at the age of 85.
Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Ron knew he was the kind man who always tried to make a positive difference in every aspect of life from serving in the marines in his youth to his local lake association in his later years. Ron was the type of man who built his house with his own hands as to not knock down even one tree, and he donated acres of land to the Conservation to give nature and it's wildlife a reprieve from mankind. Ron was a friend to all of God's creations. And we all know he was greeted by a stampede of family pets on the Rainbow Bridge. But the one most overjoyed to his arrival to Heaven would be his beloved wife Barbara Hedlund. Ron was also proceeded in death by his brother Jim, his mother Leone and father Eugene.
He is survived by his two daughters, Belinda and Ronda Hedlund; his grandchildren, Jessica (Jeff) Betts, Leah (Colin) Barnett, Chris (Desi) Burt and James Wood; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Kinsley Wood, Rayna Betts, Blake Barnett and Baby Burt whom Ron guessed will be a little girl shortly before his departure.
This man will be greatly missed and forever loved. We can rest assured knowing this great man is at peace in God's Kingdom.
