Ronald Glen Hess

Ronald Glen Hess, age 68 of Hastings, passed away on May 22, 2023. Ron was born on December 13, 1954 in Grand Rapids to Glen and Beulah (Fredenburg) Hess. Ron loved the outdoors where he could be himself in his own environment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his grandson and great-grandson, camping, and cutting firewood. In his down time, he liked to relax in front of the TV and get caught up in a good horror movie. On November 10, 1989, Ron married the love of his life, Rita Brodock, who survives. He is also survived by his children: Glen Hess, Dale Hess; step-children: Jerry (Candy) Linderman, Michael (Nicole) Neal, Dale Brian (Jeannie) Neal; grandchildren: Keirsta, Hailey, Cody, Dakota, Emma, Brooklyn; great-grandchildren: Owen, Willow, May, Waylon, Harley; siblings: Jim Hess, Bill Hess, Gary Hess, Mary Schults; siblings-in-law: Troy (Sue) Brodock, Karen Wiersma (John); several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Walter and Esther Brodock. A memorial service for Ron will be held at a future date, please check back on Ron's obituary page for updates.
