Ronald "Hoppy" Doyle Hopkins, 75, of Cabot, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2022. He was born July 6, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Lonnie E. and Gladys Irene Downey Hopkins. "Hoppy" was a United States Army veteran who served and was wounded in combat in Vietnam. He worked 20+ years for the Rock Island Railroad in Kansas City. "Hoppy's" career in Arkansas was as an OTR truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion. "Hoppy" enjoyed many things in his life including storytelling, traveling, sports (especially the Kansas City Chiefs), playing dominos and cards, pool, horseshoes, cooking spicy foods, watching westerns and he loved his motorcycles. He will be remembered as always helping others, a hard worker, never giving up on things that were important to him, and being a loving husband. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of thirty-two years, Tammy Hopkins; children, Dana Perez, Amber Tavis, Stephen "Blue" Stark, Kayla Stark and Jennifer Stark; eighteen grandchildren; siblings, Terry, Kenny and David Hopkins; biker buddies; Army buddies; cousins and numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2022 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
