Ronald "Ronnie" Janeway, age 75, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronnie was born on February 5, 1950, to the late Roy and Edith (Vanbever) Janeway. A lifelong resident of Middlesboro, he was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and deep devotion to his family. He worked for many years as a skilled heavy equipment operator and mechanic, where his hands-on knowledge and dedication earned him the respect of everyone who worked alongside him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gloria Jean (Duncan) Janeway, with whom he shared a life full of love and family. He was also preceded by his sisters, Delores Thompson, Louise Mills, and his brother Eugene Janeway.

Ronnie is survived by his daughters, Karen (Karl) Buckles and Regina (Mike) Dawlin; grandchildren, Kristen (Andrew) Ellcessor, Jeremiah (Amber) Barnett, and Matthew Dowlin; and great-grandchildren, Madison and Grayson Ellcessor, Maliki Pratt, Zapriel Lopez, King Jordan, and Maverick Barnett. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Chapel on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Garry Bingham officiating.

Though he is gone from our sight, Ronnie's legacy of love, hard work, and laughter lives on through his family and the many lives he touched.
