Ronald D. Johns, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on September 20, 2025, in Southaven, Mississippi, at the age of 87. Born on July 3, 1938, in Amity, Arkansas, Ronald was a very sweet man known for his gentle spirit and kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A dedicated family man, Ronald shared 26 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Pamela Johns. Together, they built a warm and loving home. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Macon (Bob), Tammy Johns, and Mendy Johns, and his step-son Heath Green (Misty Burton). Ronald was also a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, BJ Jones (Jerri), Haley Macon, Makenzie Macon, Landon Gray, and Mallorie Gray, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He is further survived by his brother, Garry Johns (Nina), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Ronald served his country honorably in the Army Reserve for six years, demonstrating a deep sense of duty and service. His passions included working on genealogy, where he diligently traced the roots of his family history, and traveling, as he cherished the opportunity to see and experience the beauty of various sights around the world.
Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Glenna and Alton Johns, his first wife of 37 years, Linda Joan Duke Johns, and his nephew, Bruce Johns.
In the memories shared by all who knew him, Ronald leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
A memorial service to honor Ronald's life will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park 7401 Highway 5 N. Alexander, AR 72002.
