Ronald "Ronnie" Johnston, 35, of Kell, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ronnie was born May 22, 1987 in Centralia, the son of Ronald Johnston and Donna (Hopper) Pittman. He married Kim Sherwin on August 5, 2017 and she survives.
In addition to his father: Ronald Johnston and Joyce of Odin; his wife of 5 years, Kim Johnston of Kell; four children: Isaiah Johnston of Kell, Rhyan Ratterman of Wamac, Carter Johnston of Kell, and Adalyn Johnston of Kell; two brothers: Chad Brown of Odin and Brandon Reynolds of Walnut Hill; two sisters: April Snyder and husband Marc of North Carolina and JaiMe Mace and Pete of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and father and mother-in-law: Phil Sherwin and wife Joyce of Kell.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Donna Pittman and his grandparents: Charles and Mildred Johnston and Donald and Cora Hopper.
Ronnie had a passion for motorcycles. He was known as the "Wheelie King". He also enjoyed going camping, boat riding and mudding with his friends and family. Ronnie was a family man, he loved and cherished the time he spent with his wife, children, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 at 7:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Joshua Cross officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kim Johnston and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Johnston Family.
