Terri Lynn Johnston, 68, of Metropolis, died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Joey Dunning officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Terri was retired from Bradshaw & Weil after 20 years of service and then retired from the city of Metropolis after 22 years of service. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Metropolis.
Terri is survived by her husband of almost 49 years, John Johnston; daughter, Stacy Wedeking and husband Lynn; grandchildren, Madelyn Wedeking and Dalton Wedeking; grand-dog, Fritz; brother, Jeff Kelly and wife Beth; several nieces and nephews.
Terri was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Kelly; sister, Debbie Tirey and husband Chuck.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made in Terri's name to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Memo restrict to Illinois.
