Ron Kapperman, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2022 in Choctaw, OK. Ron was born to Henry and Frieda Kapperman in Chester, NE on January 21, 1943. He married his soul mate Vera Hodgins in August 1964. They had two children Ronald Eugene and Brenda Lynn.
Ron started his journey in 1966 when he enlisted in the Unites States Air Force serving in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1969. He then went to work on the assembly line for General Motors in Fremont, CA and then transferred to the Oklahoma City plant in 1982 and then retired after more than 30+ years of service to General Motors. In his spare time Ron fulfilled his passion for flying and obtained his pilot's license and then went on to build an experimental aircraft which he flew for several years visiting airshows across the country.
He was actively involved in Harrah Church men's group helping to shape the spiritual journey of many lives he touched. He also, played a large role in the Mabel Bassett Hounds (saving dogs & changing lives) Program.
Ron leaves behind one son, Ronald Kapperman & wife Christina of Cibolo, TX and one daughter Brenda & husband Brian Frazier of Choctaw, OK; 9 grandchildren, Anthony, Russell, Heather, Ashlyn, Lauren, Clayton, Dillon, Harmony and Brandon; 3 great grandchildren, Addilyn, Kyson Aspyn; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Ron was preceded in death by his wife Vera, parents, and brother Laverne.

Services will be at 10am, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Harrah Church, 101 Dobbs, Harrah, OK. Richard Manlove will officiate. Burial will be at Sunny Lane Cemetery
