Joyce, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Ron in 2022 while rehearsing for the Christmas Concert at Providence Point. (My wife, Linda, was directing.)
Ron was an excellent singer and introduced me to many other choir members during the weeks of rehearsals. We always had a wonderful time singing the bass part together.
He was generous, well-spoken, and his kindness was a bright light shining all around him. I will remember Ron with friendship and respect and am thinking of you, especially in this difficult time.

I volunteered at camp with Ron and Joyce where they were "Camp Grandma and Grandpa" to the youngest campers. Ron was a warm, kind and positive man; always so very sweet to my kids. Joyce I´m so sorry. We will miss him. He was such a special person. -Alison D´Addieco

We met Ron and Joyce when they responded to a note in their church bulletin from a Pitt student looking for a room for rent while doing an Engineering internship at SouthPointe.
The first time we met Ron and Joyce we were overwhelmed with their love and kindness. Andrew did not rent a room but he did move in with the Kilgore´s. Sharing meals prepared by Joyce and cleaned up by Ron and Andrew. Nightly conversation with a glass of wine, sharing time in the garden and going to concerts. Our families became one. Ron and Joyce....the most loving, kind, and giving people I have ever met.
May God grant Eternal Rest to Ron and peace and comfort to Joyce and family.
Love,
The Smeltzer.
