Ronald A. Kinstler, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and patriot, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at the age of 89 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on June 10, 1936, in Meriden, Connecticut, Ronald lived a life characterized by devotion to his family, his faith, and his country.

After bravely serving in the United States Navy, Ronald dedicated 38 years of his life to working for the Railroad in their intermodal sales department, exemplifying commitment and hard work. In his personal life, Ronald was a member of the Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church in Greenwood, Indiana, where his faith found expression in both worship and service. His loving spirit was felt throughout his community where he spent many years volunteering with the Salvation Army, touching the lives of countless individuals with his generosity and warmth.

Ronald's love and dedication to his family knew no bounds. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Anna Marie Kinstler; his two children, Karen Riester and Michael (Lynn) Kinstler; and his four adored grandchildren, Sara (Corey) Blecha, Samantha Riester, Natalie (Cameron) Smith, and Aidan Kinstler.

Ronald was deeply involved in his kids and grandkids' lives. He was one of the first coaches of Center Grove Soccer Club. He rarely missed an event, whether it was a soccer game, basketball game, dance or choir performance.

A master gardener, Ronald found peace and joy in the simple pleasure of nurturing the earth. His garden was a testament to his patience and attention to detail, each plant thriving under his care.

Ronald was able to make friends wherever his job took him and enjoyed socializing at card parties, block parties, race day parties and attending senior dance classes. His infectious laugh was something to witness.

His patriotism was another facet of Ronald's character, one that had been firmly established during his honorable service in the United States Navy. The love for his country was paralleled only by his profound compassion for animals, a reflection of his all-encompassing love.
