Ronald Laverne Kirk passed away at home with his loving wife, Linda Kirk, by his side on March 19th, 2025. Ron was born on December 30th, 1945, to parents William “Bill” Kirk and Myrtle (Lee) Kirk. Ron graduated from Canton High School in Canton, Oklahoma.

A visitation will be held at Grace Memorial chapel in Ponca City, Oklahoma from 4-7 pm on Monday, March 24th, 2025. A graveside service will be held for Ron at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma, March 25th, 2025, at 11:00 am. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to the Christian Life Outreach Building Fund, P.O. Box 203. Kaw City, OK 74641.

Ron and Linda married on December 23rd, 1966, in Canton, Oklahoma. They were married for 58 years before he passed. They raised their children in Hitchcock, Oklahoma where Ron worked as an Oil Field Consultant. Ron was an ordained minister for Church of God of Apostolic Faith. Ron served for 6 years in the Army National Guard. While living in Hitchcock Ron and Linda would pioneer and pastor New Life Assembly of God. In 1993 they would move to Kaw City, Oklahoma. Ron pastored at First Christian Church in Shidler, Oklahoma before he and Linda pioneered Christian Life Outreach in Kaw City in 2018. He had a special bond with the members of Christian Life Outreach. They were family to him, who he loved very much, just as they did him.

Ron and Linda made many lifelong friends while they owned and operated Pioneer Cove on Kaw Lake. Ron was a jack of all trades, if he thought it, he could build it. He and Linda did construction work together, building and remodeling homes. Ron also oversaw and completed a lot of the work on the COGAF Church boy’s dorm in Stillwell, Oklahoma.

Ron had many hobbies over the years. He enjoyed horseback riding, snow skiing, spending time at the lake with his family, and fishing. Ron enjoyed taking many long trips on his motorcycle with Linda. The longest and most memorable of those being to Michigan and Canada. Ron and Linda took a cruise with their cherished friends to Alaska as well, a treasured memory for all. Ron loved to laugh and tease the people he loved. He had a deep love for his fur babies, as his children called them, Sassy and Sissy. He insisted that no one ever hurt them. It was always in Ron’s heart that everyone would come to know and serve Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Those left behind to treasure Ron’s memory are his loving wife, Linda (Snow) Kirk; his son, Bradley Kirk and wife Leahanna; grandchildren, Steven Kirk and fiancée Miranda Barker, and Caitlin White-Kelsie Hoffert and husband Josh; and his great grandchildren, Bailee Dawn and Kennedi.

Ron was preceded in death by his siblings, John Grauburger, Twyla, Wilma Jean Corbet, and Ray Kirk, and his beloved daughter, Terri Dawn White.
