Ronald Kirsch Obituary

Ronald J. Kirsch
Ronald J. Kirsch, age 87, of Harbor Beach, a family man and farmer, passed away on March 28, 2026. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for God, family, and farming. Ronald found great joy in farming-a calling that was more than an occupation; it was his way of life. He especially loved raising livestock and growing crops. Through long days and changing seasons, he worked with care and determination, building not only a livelihood but a legacy rooted in perseverance and respect for his farm. He was extremely proud of the land being in his family for over 100 years and certified as a Centennial Farm.
He and his beloved wife of 66 years, Marlene (Essenmacher), were married on August 29, 1959, at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church.
He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. He was also a member of Rapson Sportsmen's Club, Grindstone/Port Hope Sportsmen's Club, Harbor Beach Chapter of the Jaycees and the National Farmers Organization. He was named the Michigan State Young Farmer of the year in 1971 by the Michigan Jaycees.
Ronald also enjoyed playing euchre with family and friends, a pastime that brought laughter, friendly competition, and countless cherished memories.
Ronald is survived by his wife Marlene; children Michael (Kathy) Kirsch of Harbor Beach, Warren (Janet) Kirsch of Harbor Beach, Carolyn (Douglas) Talaski of Palms, Rodney (Becky) Kirsch of Harbor Beach, Monica (Dean) Wolschleger of Riley, and Claudine (Chris) Jamison of Davison.
Ronald was a grandfather to Andrew (Angelee) Kirsch, Jolene (James) Wisinski, Jacqueline (Brayden) Sundstrand, Janelle K. Kirsch; Jennifer Achour, James Dondineau, Jesse Dondineau; Trevor (Emily) Talaski, Tyler (Amie) Talaski, Tanessa (Mathew) Ruggles; Jessica (Kevin) Lasceski, Alisha (Nathan) Geiger, Ryan (Brittany) Kirsch; Samantha (Joseph) Gurzick; Amanda (Ryan) Boyd, David Wolschleger and John Jamison. His great-grandchildren: Mariah, Cassidy, Harvey, Jasper, Julian, Viola, Austin, Ben, Maverick, Chase, Maggie, Tiffany, Braden, Bryce, Devin, Taylor, MiKaela, Collins, Layla, Rowan, Elena, Leighton, Joseph Jr., Lachlan, and Sophia with two more on the way.
Ronald was preceded in death by his mother Frances Kirsch, an infant son John Kirsch and infant grandchildren Matthew and Tiffany Talaski.
Ronald J. Kirsch will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Mass for Ronald will be Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 11:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation for Ronald will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the church, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church or Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic School. The planting of a tree in his memory would also be fitting.
