Ronald W. Kirtley, a cherished husband, uncle, and friend, departed from this world on November 2, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on March 10, 1938, Ron lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and deep connections with those he loved.
A proud Army veteran, Ron served his country with honor and dignity, embodying the values of service and commitment. His delightful spirit was evident in everything he did; he was known for his fun-loving personality, a captivating sense of humor, and a genuine kindness that touched the hearts of many. Ron had a particular passion for visiting casinos and racetracks, relishing the thrill of gaming and cheering for his beloved Reds and Bengals. He was also an avid car enthusiast, finding joy in both the beauty and mechanics behind his favorite vehicles.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sylvia Kirtley, who was his partner through life's many adventures for 65 years. Ron was also a devoted uncle to Ken (Phyllis) Wocher, Scott (Reyes) Wocher, and Scherry Arcaro. He took great pride in his role as an uncle to his great nieces and nephews: Kenneth, Eric, Randi, Beth, Angel, Jonathan, Tanya, and Cory, bringing joy and laughter into their lives with his playful spirit and careful attention.
Family will greet friends Sunday, November 9th from 2 PM until time of funeral at 3 PM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd.
Ron is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Lois Louden. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we reflect on his life, we celebrate the happiness he brought to all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. His legacy of love, humor, and passion will continue to inspire and uplift us.
