Ron Kitelynn Obituary

Ron Kitelynn

Born: February 28, 1944 | Died: September 20, 2025

Ron Kitelynn went into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 20th, 2025. He is finally home and now walking without a cane and standing tall in the presence of his Savior.

He is survived by his loving family of 10: wife, Jan; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Stephanie Kitelynn; daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Mark Shreve; and five grandchildren; Grace, Noah, Ayla, Abby, and Coda. They all live close by and are left with so many sweet memories of times with their Dad and Grandpa.

Ron was born in Richmond,Virginia and had many wonderful memories there and in Blackstone, Virginia. He loved to fish, hunt, spend time in the woods, visit his aunt and uncle on the farm, and especially enjoyed time with all of his extended family. He could fix about anything, became a master gardener, and was a fabulous cook. When Ron's dad was moved to Connecticut in his junior year of HS, he met his wife; it was love at first sight. He graduated from University of Bridgeport with a B.S. Degree from the College of Business Administration. Ron and Jan dated for seven years and were married on April 20th, 1969 after Ron returned home from serving in the army and a tour of Vietnam. They were best friends for 63 years.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at East Maryville Baptist Church on Saturday, September 27, at 5PM. A private burial will be held prior to the church service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pregnancy Resource Center can be made through East Maryville Baptist Church in Maryville, TN. Condolences may be shared through Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com
