Ronald L. Larison

Ronald L. Larison, a remarkable soul born on August 19, 1935, in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, departed this world on January 25, 2025, in Springfield, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy woven with laughter, kindness, and an unwavering spirit of camaraderie.

His career, blossoming through years of dedication, culminated in retirement from Harris Graphics, but it was not the confines of his profession that defined him; rather, it was the generous essence of his being that touched everyone he encountered. Ron was a master of humor, his immense personality lighting up the darkest rooms and sending ripples of laughter through gatherings. It was his ability to bring others together, to share joy even in the simplest moments, that endeared him to all.

An honorable man, Ron served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps, traversing the globe and experiencing life in ways that forever enriched his perspective. His stories, often laced with a twinkle in his eye and a contagious chuckle, became treasured memories among family and friends. Ron's loyalty and honesty were virtues admired by many; he was good to a fault, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

With a heart as expansive as the sky, Ronald cherished the beauty of nature, finding solace in the gentle embrace of the outdoors. Fishing and camping were not just hobbies for him; they were passions that breathed life into his existence, allowing him to connect with the wonder of the world.

Ron leaves behind a loving legacy in his daughters, Barb Otto (Mark) and Rhonda Minnich (Doug), who carry forth his spirit and humor. He was a proud grandfather to Veronica Reno (Geoff), Amber Frazier (Will), and Jordan Minnich (Shane Tracy), whose successes and happiness he celebrated with boundless pride. The joy of his great-grandchildren—Aiden Reno, Dawson Amole, Kinley Reno, Liam Frazier, Autumn Frazier, Bryson Frazier, and Mayson Tracy—will forever echo the warmth of his love.

In addition to his beloved family, Ron is survived by his siblings, Jean Smith (Clyde) and Rebecca Larison, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom were blessed to know his kind spirit.

Preceded in death by his dear wife, Ruby Larison, Ron's heart now beats in their shared memories. He also reunites with his parents, Elmer and Maggie Larison, and his siblings James, Earl, Deliatha, Kathleen, and Zelma, whose spirits will welcome him back with open arms.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio, with a funeral service starting at 6:00pm.
