Ronald K. Lawrence Sr.

Ronald K. Lawrence Sr., age 86, of Camp Douglas, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Our Town Tomah Assisted Living. He was born November 6, 1936, to George and Margaret (Destri) Lawrence.
Ron proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. He worked at Camp Williams his entire 38-year career with the National Guard.
Ron was united in marriage to Nancy Cook in 1955. He enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, gardening and working on the fence lines on his property. More than anything, Ron loved his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his children, Ronald (Cindy) Lawrence II of Baileys Harbor, WI, Terry (BJ) Giles of Neillsville, WI and Mariellen (Joe) Lawrence of Tomah, WI, grandchildren, Ronald (Melanie) Lawrence III, Elizabeth (Jesse) Shupe, David (Brooke) Giles and Corey (Ashley) Elsing, 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret, siblings, Durward, Laurene, Thelma and Georgia, and granddaughter, Leah Degenhardt.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Camp Douglas, WI. Pastor Shane Haynes will officiate. A luncheon will be held immediately following the funeral service at the church. Burial with full military honors will be held in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Tomah, Wisconsin. Family and friends are invited for a visitation on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
