Ronald Loftis Obituary

Ronald Edwin Loftis – dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend – took his last breath on this earth on Friday, March 3, 2023.
Ron was born April 5, 1946 to Lewis Edwin Loftis and Lucy Marie "Bunny" Loftis.
The oldest of four sons, his brothers Robert L "Bob" Loftis, Thomas Nathan Loftis and Lewis Edwin Loftis Jr loved him very much and knew he loved them.
Ron leaves behind his wife Anne Jeannine Loftis. Having first met at Hillwood high school, she was the love of his life for over 48 years of marriage. Ron and Anne did everything together, including canoeing, camping, and long rides on their Harleys. They were very involved in their church at Harpeth Heights where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. Ron and Anne, both sang in the choir and performed in many musical productions including The Sound of Music and A Christmas Carol.
Always happy to help with car trouble, Ron was a proud and accomplished automotive technician who could fix just about anything. An astute businessman and generous to a fault, his career spanned just over five decades.
Ever the Eagle Scout Ron took his family on many adventures along the Harpeth River, in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Bear Butte, Devils Tower, and many more. In his later years, he was never happier then when he was walking the hills near his Smithville home with his faithful dog Max. In his short time in Smithville, he formed quite a community of friends.
Ron loved his family with all his heart and is held in the memory of his two stepsons Jeffrey David Robinson and Christopher Scott Robinson and his two daughters Rebecca Lynne Loftis Stokes and Sarah Elizabeth Loftis Saeger, as well as his grandchildren, Zechariah and Joshua Robinson, and Caleb and Rebecca Saeger.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens with Burial as follows.

Sending love and prayers for the entire family

I am totally heartbroken at the loss of my great friend, Ron. He is truly one of my favorite people I have ever known. From the numerous plays that we performed in, to the trips to the gun range I enjoyed every minute of our time together. He could still out run me even thought he was 20 years my senior. I love him dearly. I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
