Ronald Macom Obituary
Ron was a lifelong Alaskan who valued hard work, self-reliance, and the outdoors. He built his own home and spent many years helping others with repairs and projects. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing guitar, a passion he shared with his son, Lane.
For more than two decades, Ron owned and operated Trademark, where he mentored many employees and was known for his steady leadership and generosity. He often opened his home to family and friends in need.
Ron is survived by his son, Lane; his siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Macom and Elise Wright, and by his nephew, Denny Ingraham.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25 at True North Church, 3295 College Road, with a small gathering to follow.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, Ron is home with his Savior now. I was so sad to hear of Ron's passing, and especially saddened for Lane his Son. I met Ron at a low time in his life, but you wouldn't know Ron was walking through his trials because he had a Servants heart, he was always pouring into others and giving of himself for others needs first. Ron was thoughtful and kind, he would consider others needs before his own in an environment where most were selfish Ron was selfless. I grew to care about him as a friend. The way Ron lit up when talking about Lane his son you knew he was his everything. Ron had faith in the lord as his personal savior and I'm certain that he's home with Jesus now. Its not easy losing someone you love and shared life with so will keep Lane covered in prayers Ron was So Proud of Lane and all his accomplishments.
May God and His promises guide you Lane during this difficult time.

ive known ron for over 20 years, both in the professional business and personal as a alumni of north pole HS. he was a fantastic person, an amazing dad to his cherished son Lane, he will be missed by all of us! it was a tremendous shock to learn of his passing. we lost a great person!

Kaori and I are saddened having heard of Ron's passing, I thought are with the family. We send our prayers to Janeen and Lane. It has been over a decade since we last were in each other's presence yet we feel the loss strongly.
