Ronald March Obituary

Ronald Edward March born February 14, 1943, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife Bobbie March and his two daughters, Kristen March Tarnol and Nicole Elizabeth (March) Klingenstein. Proud grandfather to Riley Jane Tarnol, Jess Alexander Tarnol, Brooks Sheridan Klingenstein and Boden March Klingenstein. Beloved brother-in-law to Cynthia and Richard Cash and uncle to Amanda (Cash) Cahan and Dana (Cash) Bunker. The son of Edward and Midge March, Ron grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois and attended Maine Township High School before attending Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and receiving his degree in Advertising in 1965. After settling down with Bobbie in Deerfield, Illinois to raise their family, he began his career at the Shell Oil in Chicago and worked at Draper and Kramer as well, before starting his own commercial real estate outfit, The Ron March Company. Later, he renamed the company Ron March & Associates, working with many fellow real estate professionals over his long career. Ron loved playing baseball, softball, golf and tennis throughout his life and cheering on his Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls. He also enjoyed reading, cooking, strong coffee and cocktails with friends. Ron was always willing to help those in need. He was a connector of people and built strong relationships with so many throughout his storied life. He will be remembered for his impeccably coiffed hair, his perfectly ironed jeans, his signature loafers, his dry sense of humor and his gift for holding an audience with his wonderful storytelling. He will be greatly missed, leaving a legacy of laughter and love to his family. For information, please call Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home at 847-831-4260 or www.kelleyspaldingfu neralhome.com.

I was saddened to hear Ron passed away. As boys, we'd get together to play baseball at South School playground in Des Plaines. Ron was a good athlete and had a sharp mind. I was looking forward to visiting with Ron at the 60th Class Reunion. You'll be missed Ron, but never forgotten.
