Ronald Stephens McDaniel, age 74, was born on August 6, 1951, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, to the late Vernon T. McDaniel and the late Mary Lee Kennerly McDaniel.

Ronald received his early education in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where he attended Christ the King Catholic School and Orangeburg Wilkinson High School, graduating in 1968. He continued his education at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina, where he studied for two years, and later graduated from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. After completing his education, Ronald relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he made his home until he was called into eternal peace on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

At an early age, Ronald accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior. He first united with New Mount Zion Baptist Church in Bowman, South Carolina, and later became a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Forsyth, Georgia.

While living in Georgia, Ronald met and married his beloved wife, Remona McDaniel, and together they shared 28 years of marriage. Ronald was a loving, caring, and passionate man who never met a stranger and was known for his warm and comforting smile.

Ronald enjoyed a long and dedicated career as an IT Specialist before transitioning into a role as a Substitute Teacher, where he continued to make a positive impact on the lives of others through his strong work ethic and commitment to service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon T. McDaniel; his mother, Mary Lee Kennerly McDaniel; his sister, Angela McDaniel; and his brother, Michael McDaniel.

Ronald leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Remona McDaniel; his sister, Barbara Cathcart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Ronald cherished his roles as a husband, brother, son, uncle, and friend, and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith that will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, wisdom, and spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
