Johnnie "Boochie" Catherine Lowe was born February 22, 1941 in Forsyth Georgia to the parentage of the late Nelson (Sadie) L. Rutherford. She transitioned over an extended illness on January 2, 2026. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Bennie L. Lowe Sr. and her sister Annie G Myrick.

Johnnie joined Tessie Hall Baptist Church at an early age. Johnnie was educated in the Public Schools of Monroe County. She worked in the Textiles Industries for several years. Johnnie was a friend to all; anyone who's met with her know you are no longer a stranger but a friend.

She leaves cherish memories to her children Linda D. Brown, Brenda L. Watkins, Bennie (Wilma) L. Lowe Jr., Carolyn A. Lowe, Wonda J. Lowe, Kathy (Gregory) Jones, Connie (John) J. Jackson all of Forsyth Georgia; brother, Nelson L. Rutherford III of Baltimore Maryland; sister, Julie B. Rutherford (Karl Hogan) of Forsyth Georgia. She had 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Johnnie (Boochie) Catherine Lowe spent her final years surrounded by love and attentive care dedication strength and compassion faithfully provided by her daughter Wonda, who served as her primary caregiver.
