Ronald Eugene McMurray

Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene McMurray, age 83, resident of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

Ronnie was born on September 7, 1942, in Broken Arrow, OK, to Kenneth Eugene McMurray and Wilma Jane (Brooks) McMurray. He graduated from Coweta High School in 1960 and continued his education at Northeastern State University, earning an associate degree in business. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves.

Ronnie was a skilled machinist by trade and a hardworking businessman throughout his life. He owned and operated Auto Turn Manufacturing from 1983 until 2008 and owned and operated A–Z Manufacturing, where he remained actively involved in the business until his passing. His strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication to providing for his family were evident in everything he did.

On August 16, 1963, Ronnie was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sharon Kay (Smith) McMurray. Their marriage was blessed with over 57 years together, building a life centered on faith, family, and love. He was a member of Florence Street Baptist Church in Broken Arrow.

Ronnie enjoyed many hobbies and interests throughout his life, including attending car shows, watching OU football and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball, farming in his younger years, and spending quality time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Above all, he cherished time with his beloved wife Sharon, his children, and his family.

Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Vera and husband Hector of Coweta, OK; his sons, Jared McMurray and wife Robin of Coweta, OK, and Justin McMurray of Coweta, OK; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Bayliss and husband Justin, Nick McMurray and wife ShiAnn, Jesse McMurray and wife Abby, Jacob McMurray and wife Summer, Evan Vera, Elizabeth Vera, Bruin McMurray, Madison McMurray, and MaKennah McMurray; seven great-grandchildren, Landon Bayliss, Paityn Bayliss, Parker Bayliss, Grayson McMurray, Waylon McMurray, Nova McMurray, and Freya McMurray; his sister, Linda Trobaugh of Broken Arrow, OK; his sisters-in-law, Linda Bratton of Broken Arrow, OK, and Sue Fowler of Broken Arrow, OK; his brothers-in-law, Larry Smith and wife Lynn of Coweta, OK, and Mike Smith and wife Nancy of Coweta, OK; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Kay McMurray; his parents, Kenneth Eugene and Wilma Jane McMurray; and his grandson, Brandon Floyd McMurray.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coweta, OK. Funeral services celebrating Ronnie’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Florence Street Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK, with Pastor Dwight L. West officiating.
