The passing of Ronald McNeal occurred on September 9,2024, he was 79 years old. Born in Clinton, Massachusetts, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. After retirement from the military, Ron worked for Nite Hawk Trucking for 15 years. He fought a courageous fight with cancer in 2016 until his passing.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Valerie McNeal (Hawkins): one daughter Melissa (Scott) Hasseltine of Lincoln, Maine; one sister, Rose Marie Curie of New Brunswick, Canada; three stepsons; Rodney Hawkins; Rick Hawkins (Chris); and Douglas Hawkins. He had fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded by both parents, Earl and Inez McNeal; four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral arrangements will be Tuesday, September 17,2024 at Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park, KS. Visitation at 1:00 and service at 2:00 pm. Graveside service at 3:00 pm will include full military honors.
