Ronald L. "Ronnie" Meadowcroft, age 52, of Delaware City, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Born in Elkton, MD on July 6, 1972, he was the son of the late Ronald R. and Diane Pauline (Michaud) Meadowcroft. Ronnie made his career as an iron worker at Atlas Welding and Fabrication.
In his spare time, Ronnie could often be found riding around on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and looked forward to spending time at the family beach house. Ronnie enjoyed staying busy and was always working on something around his home. More than anything, he cherished his family, especially his daughter Amanda who was the apple of his eye. Ronnie also loved making memories with his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his quirky, funny personality and his voice that could not be duplicated.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Tricia Yowell; children, Christopher Sizemore (Christina), Amanda Meadowcroft, and Veronica Meadowcroft (Jeff); grandchildren, Jada, Jacob, Jaxon, Jasper, Camryn, Carter, and Cooper; sisters, Yolanda Meadowcroft and Rana Johnson (Paul); nieces and nephew, Kaitlyn Cloherty (Sean), Paul-Paul Johnson, and Olivia Johnson; and his many "bonus" children and grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 pm on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Delaware City Fire Company, 815 5th Street, Delaware City, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, 428 Port Penn Road, Middletown, DE.
