Ronald F. Mikitish

I t is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald (Ron) Mikitish of Stouffville, Ontario, Canada, on December 2nd, 2025, in Naples, Florida, at the age of 87. He is survived by his beloved wife, Micheline, with whom he shared 63 years of a joyful, loving and devoted marriage – a partnership that remained the heart of his life. Ron was predeceased by his son Andrew and is lovingly remembered by his daughter Suzanne.

Ron will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Joseph (Alexandra), Kaitlyn (Eric), and Gregory, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Ron is also survived by his brother Doug, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will remember his warmth, humour, and constant support.

A proud graduate of Queen's University, Class of 1960, Ron earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering before embarking on a successful and respected career with Ciba-Geigy and then became a retiree of Novartis.

In retirement, Ron embraced every opportunity to enjoy life-travelling extensively, engaging in lively games of bridge, and staying active with golf, tennis, pickleball, and bocce.

A Celebration of Life will be held in late spring or early summer, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, honoring his generous spirit.

Ron's memory will forever be cherished by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
